Diablo 2 Durance of Hate Unreal Engine 5 Remake
Diablo 2 was released back in 2000, so it’s long overdue for a refresh, and that is why 3D environment artist Michal Wawruch used Unreal Engine 5 to create this ‘Durance of Hate’ remake. For those unfamiliar with the game, Durance of Hate is basically the lair of the Lord of Hatred, Mephisto and can be accessed by destroying the Compelling Orb in Travincal.

Don’t expect a remake of the full game, as Wawruch made this playable demo just for fun, as well as to develop workflow with Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite and Lumen. With that said, Diablo 2 was one of the most popular games of 2000 and has been touted as one of the greatest games of all time by those in the industry. Download it here now.

RE Biohazard Resident Evil 1 Fan Remake Unreal Engine Gameplay
RE Biohazard, a Resident Evil 1 fan remake in Unreal Engine 5, just got a new gameplay trailer. This game was originally released on the PlayStation in 1996, with players controlling Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, members of the elite task force S.T.A.R.S., who must escape a mansion infested with zombies as well as other monsters.

Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on when fans can expect a demo of this game. Resident Evil was touted for its graphics, gameplay, sound, and atmosphere, which helped it become the best-selling PlayStation game at the time. It’s safe to say that this remake vastly improves on the original 3D polygonal characters and objects, superimposed over pre-rendered backdrops with fixed camera angles. Just a little over a year after its release, the game had sold about 4 million copies worldwide and had grossed more than $200,000,000 (equivalent to $392,000,000 in 2023).

RwanLink started this Zelda Ocarina of Time x Studio Ghibli: Castle Town remake as a fun side project to test a new art direction, and this teaser looks like a real anime. So far, 30 characters have been created for this video, and the official trailer is set for release on November 21st.

For those who have always wanted to Goron City remade in the Studio Ghibli art style, this remake should do the trick. This is the main gateway to Death Mountain Crater which leads to the Fire Temple, while the city consists of four floors, with the entrance on the top floor. One other familiar location to Zelda of Ocarina of fans is Zora’s Domain, which is located in the northeast section of Hyrule and home to King Zora as well as his daughter, Princess Ruto.

Unreal Engine 4 The Legend of Zelda NES Remake Era of Decline
Another day, another The Legend of Zelda remake. This top-down prototype game comes from developer Lloyd Empty, and it’s officially called ‘The Legend of Zelda: Era of Decline”, powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4. It supports both keyboard and gamepad control, although we assume the latter is the preferred method for nostalgic purposes.

This remake keeps the original top-down gameplay mechanics, but adds all-new 3D models for Link as well as all of the enemies and environments. The original The Legend of Zelda was released in 1986 on the Famicom Disk System and then the Nintendo Entertainment System a little over a year later in the United States. There’s no word yet on when (or if) the remake will be available for download.

Once you have your sword in hand, go exploring to earn items, hearts and rupees, and scour the dungeons to find the fragments of the Triforce,” said the developer.
