US Navy Boeing Orca Autonomous Undersea Vehicle Submarine Delivery
The US Navy has taken delivery of the first Boeing Orca Extra Large Uncrewed Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV). This new class of autonomous submarine is capable of performing long duration critical missions to achieve undersea maritime dominance in changing environments as well as contested waters.

Orca measures roughly 85-feet long and boasts a payload capacity of 8.8 tons, making it the largest autonomous naval submarine yet. Power comes from a hybrid diesel / electric powertrain connected to a lithium-ion battery system, enabling it to achieve a maximum speed 9 mph underwater, with a 6,500 mile range.
