The Beam Experience Rockefeller Center NYC Photo

‘The Beam’ experience at Rockefeller Center lets you recreate the iconic ‘Lunch Atop a Skyscraper’ photo from 1932 in New York City. Guests will have to travel up to the 69th floor of the landmark building, where they’ll find a beam lifted 12 feet above the observation deck platform.

After being safely strapped in, the structure rotates 180 degrees, offering panoramic views of Central Park and the rest of the New York City skyline. For additional safety, there are 10-foot-tall glass partitions all around the 69th floor. The experience costs $25 USD in addition to the Top of the Rock’s admission, which starts at $40. Want similar views, but without the thrills? There’s also a new rooftop café called the Weather Room open on the 67th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
