If you’ve been wondering what the 2028 McLaren Activa Super SUV could look like, these renderings by Sergiy Dvornytskyy should give you an idea. Since it is based on the 750S, we imagine it having a similar power plant, or a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine, possibly paired with an electric motor, that makes at least 740 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

The exterior features minimalist LED headlights, a sleek aerodynamic grille, a black splitter, and a gloss black roof / pillar, with the vehicle itself finished in the legendary Papaya Orange. Pricing should start somewhere between $197,000 (Aston Martin DBX) and $393,350 (Ferrari Purosangue).

McLaren 720S Gets Pit Against its Big Brother, the 750S, in a Drag Racing Showdown

McLaren 720S Gets Pit Against its Big Brother, the 750S, in a Drag Racing Showdown

McLaren 720S vs 750S Drag Racing
The McLaren 720S first launched in 2017, powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine generating 710 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that enables it to hit 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. That might sound incredible, but its big brother, the McLaren 750S, is definitely worth the upgrade.

At 3062 pounds, the McLaren 750S also boasts a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine, but now with 740 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, also paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. However, it features as new central-exit Standard Sports Exhaust system that will definitely turn some heads at the track and on the street at full throttle. Let’s just say that if you already have a 720S, the 750S is definitely something you want to add to your stable.

Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine generating 626 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque, mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. This equates to a 0-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds, a 0-124 mph of 8.9 seconds, and a top speed of 203 mph. The cabin’s interior illumination is provided by a hidden-until-lit six-color ambient lighting, while its panoramic roof with an electrochromic glazed panel lets in natural light at the push of a button. There’s no word yet on availability, but its predecessor, the McLaren GT, started at $204,990 USD.
