Mark Rober Underwater Obstacle Course Maze Octopus
Mark Rober’s 250-foot elephant toothpaste volcano was a sight to behold, but once set in motion, the experiment concluded far too quickly. His latest project was creating a 9-part underwater obstacle course for his pet octopus that was a bit more complicated.

In research experiments, octopuses have been observed solving mazes and completing complex tasks to get food rewards. They’re also surprisingly skilled at getting themselves in and out of containers. Mark Rober decided to give his pet octopus a few easy challenges first before moving onto the 9-part obstacle course, complete with a golden vault filled with 3-pounds of shrimp at the end of it. Getting her into the obstacle course required releasing the scent of raw fresh shrimp.
