Another day, another handheld game console, and this time, it’s the AYANEO Pocket S. Featuring a 6-inch 2K borderless mirrored IPS screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 processor, an Adreno A32 GPU (1Ghz max clock frequency), up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of internal storage.
In addition to active cooling for those long gaming sessions, there’s also a dedicated hardware button that can be pressed to switch into either performance or battery life mode. How does it work? Users can choose between three profiles – Performance, Balanced, and Long Battery Life – that adjusts processor settings as well as the fan speed. Other features include dual RGB backlit analog sticks and a USB-C port at the bottom. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability, but it is expected to be priced between $299 – $349 USD when the crowdfunding campaign goes live.
