All-Electric Rimac Nevera Hits 171.34MPH in Reverse, Sets New Guinness World Record

We know the Bugatti Bolide is fast, but can it beat the Rimac Nevera going in reverse? Most likely not, as the all-electric Rimac Nevera Time Attack Edition managed to hit 171.34mph going in reverse, setting a new Guinness World Record.

What made this run possible is because the 1,914 hp Nevera’s drivetrain has no gears, just four individual motors either go backwards or forwards, offering relentless acceleration right the way from standstill. This same powertrain can help the Nevera achieve a 0-100mph run in just 3.21 seconds hit 200mph in just under 11 seconds.

It occurred to us during development that Nevera would probably be the world’s fastest car in reverse, but we kind of laughed it off. The aerodynamics, cooling and stability hadn’t been engineered for travelling backwards at speed, after all. But then, we started to talk about how fun it would be to give it a shot. All-Electric Volvo EM90 Minivan Unveiled, Has 268HP and Up to 459-Miles of Range

Sleek and futuristic, the Volvo EM90 minivan was designed to be a comfortable living room on the road. It’s powered by a rear-mounted electric motor generating 268 hp, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.3 seconds, which is quite respectable considering that it weighs 6,091 pounds.

On a full charge, its 116-kWh battery pack has a maximum range of 459 miles on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). The Volvo EM90 reinforces the company’s commitment to be a fully electric car maker by 2030. It’s available for pre-order now in China, with pricing yet to be announced.

Canoo’s ‘The American Bulldog’ is an all-electric pickup truck based on their Screaming Eagle that was delivered to the U.S. Army for extensive testing back in 2022. The company states that this version combines striking design with world-class performance while emphasizing maximum functionality for work, adventure, as well as service.

Whether if it’s traveling on two or four wheels, the Bulldog performs like a battleship, thanks its honeycomb design. Not only is it strong and rigid, but it can soar like an eagle through harmonized steer-by-wire as well as brake-by-wire systems. Power numbers have not yet been revealed, although the Screaming Eagle that it’s based on has 600 hp. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.

Power comes from an all-solid-state battery that can generate up to 1,341hp (1,000kW) with precise and extreme acceleration, while Nissan’s e-4ORCE all-wheel control technology ensures exceptional handling at the track as well as on winding canyon roads.

Aesthetically, the Nissan Hyper Force combines sleek curves with a geometric design that reflects the performance underneath. The front / rear lights pay homage to Nissan’s high-performance cars and its dual-level rear diffuser optimally controls airflow. You can’t miss the lightweight forged carbon wheels or the butterfly doors either. Step into the cabin, and you’ll find two driving modes, “R” (racing) and “GT” (grand touring). The all-electric Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer wagon was teased today, and it’s set to launch next year in Europe. There may still be things that will change aesthetically between this prototype and the production version, which explains the camouflage wrap based on the multi-layer paint of the ID.7 limousine.

Technical specifications have yet to be revealed, but we do know that if there are five people aboard, the ID.7 Tourer has a boot volume of up to 545 liters, loaded up to the height of the rear seat backrest. When the rear seat is folded down, the volume of the almost two-meter-long cargo space can rise to up to 1,714 liters.
