Set to make its public debut at SEMA 2023 in the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall on October 31st, the Nissan Safari Rally Z Tribute was designed to go off-road, thanks to a custom KW Safari suspension as well as NISMO suspension parts that raise the ride height by 2-inches.
Aside from the 17 x 7.5-inch prototype NISMO Safari wheels wrapped in dirt-ready Yokohama GEOLANDAR M/T G003 tires, the Nissan Safari Z Tribute also sports a new front bumper guard with a skid plate and NISMO Off-Road LED lights. Inside, there’s a custom roll bar with 4-point harnesses and custom-trimmed Recaro Pole Position seats. Power comes from an AMS-tuned, VR30DDTT engine that now makes more than 400 horsepower, combined with a NISMO Track cat-back exhaust system, cold air intake, carbon fiber engine cover, coolant expansion tank, heat exchanger, as well as a street twin-disc clutch and flywheel. This one-off build pays tribute to the #11 Datsun 240Z race car that took home first place in the 3,800-mile 1971 East African Safari Rally.
